ROLLIE'S LITTLE BLACK BOOK

This is Rollie Free's little black book that I refer to in "Flat Out!...."  Mike Parti gave the book to Max Bubeck, and Max gave the book to me.  Here are the Vincent H.R.D. Rapide specifications and performance at Rosamond Dry Lake in 1947, and Rollie's commentary, including misspelling the name (Phil) Irving as "Ervin."

To JH from "Ace": as you can see, cleaned up this post and deleted the following post that referred to it. Have no idea what happened to the original post, unless possibly that the original author might've cut-and-pasted code or text from another program into window which was not properly recognized by Blogger, leading to large vacant area. Or, another possibility, that attempts to import a non-standard size picture at non-standard resolution could've caused a formatting problem. Whatever! It's fixed now. In general, if you get a post that formats really weirdly, it's better to redo the post and delete the one that looks weird. That's what I did in this case.....Ace
